Simius Web: Stephen Hunter Fine English Furniture > Front-end Website Development

Background:

Simius Web is a website consultancy based in Norwich, England. They offer a real alternative to the lack of standards in compliance and ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach offered by many Internet companies.

Whilst working under Simius Web, I had carried out some wide-scale front-end website development work on the Stephen Hunter Fine English Furniture website by updating the website content, on the hand coding end.

My Contributions:

For this Stephen Hunter Fine English Furniture website job, I used xHTML 1.0 strict, Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 and Adobe Photoshop CS6 to undertake a wide-scale website updates (hand coding) job. Then I had reflected all this website work on the Stephen Hunter Pinterest account, creating new boards and pins (and rearranged some existing pins into different boards). All this work was done to a very high standard, and to strict guidelines following the ‘Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0’. Also, I had worked under a very short timeline.

What I achieved:

Working on the Stephen Hunter website job was an amazing experience as my xHTML 1.0 strict hand coding skills has truly developed since then. Pinterest is now one of my favourite social media platforms to support my clients with their digital marketing activities and their business development goals.

Since starting work on the Stephen Hunter website job, I worked hard to help my client get this website and their Pinterest account updated with 105 new products. This work has generated some new sales for Stephen Hunter Fine English Furniture, which Simius Web  is very happy with.
